http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0033553/

Dr. Jekyll believes good and evil exist in everyone. Experiments reveal his evil side, named Hyde. Experience teaches him how evil Hyde can be: he kills Ivy who earlier expressed interest in Jekyll and Sir Charles, Jekyll's faincee's father. -imdb

I saw this once, and remember very little about it. Other than Tracy had very little make-up on as Hyde.

I don't think I've really been wrapped up in any version of this story, be it the Barrymore, Oscar winning March or the later versions by Hammer, Palance, Perkins etc. Maybe the Nutty Professor is the best version, to me. Or Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde. Maybe they should make Mr. Hyde the good-looking one.

This is a story where each version has its merits.

Not that its the best, but there was no make-up used in the Barrymore version. Which is quite an achievement.
